EasyGate know the measure of Tauriko. They moved into the Estate in 2011 after an extensive search for a new home for their fabrication and importing business.
EasyGate pride themselves on carrying a wide range of stock and being able to receive orders and dispatch within a day or two. So location, access to main arterial routes and efficiency are key pre-requisites for EASYGATE.
Managing Director Ray Sperling, says it made good sense to buy and build in the Tauriko Business Estate. “Now over 3 years down the track we have watched the surrounding empty lots filling fast, transforming the area into a thriving business hub. In that time EasyGate has gone from strength to strength and it is still a joy to drive to work knowing this is the perfect location. Someone asked me the other day if we had any regrets moving to Tauriko Business Estate I said yes, there is one, I should have brought the property next door as well!”
EasyGate manufacture innovative gating systems delivering cost effective automated gating systems as either DIY kit sets that can be customised to fit new or existing gates, or the complete package of a set of automated aluminium gates and the control system of your choice. Offering the lowest priced automated gates in Australasia they also pride themselves on receiving orders and dispatching within a day or two.

With over 30 years experience in the manufacture of electronics, and widely acknowledged as leaders in the industry, Bluelab Corporation relocated to the Tauriko Business Estate from an older suburban industrial area of Tauranga in May 2010.
The Tauriko location appealed for several reasons. Firstly, there was good access for visitors to their building off the main arterial routes and this was viewed as a significant improvement on the previous location. This aspect was noted by regular visitors from Auckland and Hamilton after they moved in. Secondly, the quick travelling times via the expressway are a benefit for staff attending various events and meetings in the centre of Tauranga during the work hours.
CEO Greg Jarvis says the third compelling reason was the holistic offering of Tauriko Business Estate. “Having the opportunity to relocate Bluelab, as a high-value manufacturing business, in a well-constructed building in a modern commercial environment was seen as positive for the company’s brand image and credibility by international customers.”
Bluelab was formerly known as NZ Hydroponics International Limited. NZ Hydroponics International Limited supplied commercial growers with complete growing installations and products around the World. This has enabled us to perfect all products specific to needs in such diverse industries.
Today Bluelab are industry leaders. Manufacturers of quality instruments, they have an outstanding reputation for their world-leading water-based measurement systems. This high-value manufacturing business is well known for their products such as the Bluelab Truncheon®, Bluelab Dosetronic® and Bluelab Meters™.

When Brother (NZ) Limited decided it was time to move to a new location from their outgrown Lower Hutt premises they decided to take a wider view of where they might relocate. They commissioned Deloitte to do a report, which looked at every port in the country they could potentially use. And the choice? Tauranga! The high profile move has seen Brother relocate to a purpose-designed $10 million 7930m2 warehouse and office complex, which they took possession of in October this year (2014), at Tauriko Business Estate.
The company’s New Zealand Executive Chairman Graham Walshe says the business reasons were very persuasive. “One of the most resounding reasons is that the move is expected to save us $5 million over the first five years. The close proximity to New Zealand’s largest port is a huge factor. Our cost of freight will be substantially reduced. We will have two-hour access to 60 per cent of our customer base, instead of the 8-9 hour access we’ve previously had from our Wellington base. Add to that the fact that the build costs here are around 30 per cent cheaper than in competing locations and it made very good business sense for us to choose Tauriko Business Estate.”
“Tauriko Business Estate allows us to achieve what we wanted for our business and our staff. We’re working with Element IMF, the commercial arm of Tauriko Business Estate, and Strongline Buildings. By aligning ourselves with these incredibly professional organisations for the design and build we’re able to see the project out in a timeframe that’s going to allow us to move seamlessly, and without any real downtown or drop-off in our customer service.”
